Characteristics of thermoforming processing
【misunderstand】"Thermal forming waste too much, high cost!"
【Misconception】: Thermoforming as a secondary processing method does have a certain cost increase due to the use of sheet processing. However, due to the thermoforming itself, such as the cost of the mold is low; The material after thermoforming is not waste, and most of it can be reused directly through the online recycling system or independent recycling system into the production process. For very individual industries, such as food, medical and other industries prohibited reuse, reuse can also be used in other areas, and waste can not be confused. In addition, thermoforming itself is a very cost-effective molding method, and the comprehensive cost of most applications is lower than other processing methods.
Thermoforming has the following characteristics:
① Strong adaptability. With the thermoforming method, it can make a variety of large, ultra-small, ultra-thick and ultra-thin parts, and the thickness of the board (sheet) used as raw material can be as thin as 0.05mm; The surface area of the product can be as large as 10m and as small as a few square millimeters; The wall thickness can reach 15.20mm, thin to 0.1mm, or even thinner; Products such as thermoformed packaging of single tablets. Most of the thermoformed products belong to the concave and convex shell shape, and its depth has certain limits. Most of the thermoformed parts are thin-walled, the thickness of the original sheet is 0.5-2mm, and the thickness of the actual product is smaller, and the wall thickness of the special thin product is up to 0.05mm.
② Wide range of applications. Due to the strong adaptability of thermoforming parts, its application range is wide. Everything from pill packaging to refrigerator liners and even airplane cabin covers can be thermoformed. The types of products include cups, dishes and other household utensils, medical dishes, electronic instrument accessories, radio and TV housings, billboards, bathtubs, toys, helmets, packaging appliances, etc. There are also automobile parts, construction components, chemical equipment, radomes and aircraft hoods.
③ Less investment in equipment. Because the thermoforming equipment is simple, and the total pressure required is not high, the pressure equipment is not high, so the thermoforming equipment has the characteristics of less investment and low cost.
④ Convenient mold manufacturing. Thermoforming mold structure is simple, cheap materials, easy to manufacture and process, the material requirements are not high, and the manufacturing and modification is convenient, can be made of steel, aluminum, plastic, talent and other materials, the cost is only 1/10 of the injection mold, and the product design is fast, suitable for the production of small batch parts.
