High-end EPS packaging solutions
LINPAC has launched a range of high-end EPS solutions for fast food retailers and food service businesses. The company plans to introduce five popular black EPS box solutions, providing the catering industry with distinctive packaging with a unique appearance.
Mark Durston, Sales Director for Food Service and Convenience Foods, said: "The catering industry is currently undergoing a major transformation. The growing trend of high-end food streets is putting street food and takeaway food on an equal footing; food street suppliers can offer anything from enticing Vietnamese noodles to delicious Mexican tacos, and consumers are enjoying this new dining experience.
"As a leading food packaging manufacturer at the forefront of innovation, LINPAC (Klockner Pentaplast) recognizes the potential of this market. We have re-engineered some EPS solutions to provide high-quality products that meet all the requirements of food service packaging in terms of functionality, sustainability and performance, while offering solutions that reflect their intended market and dining experience."
Durston added: "For our traditional fast food and catering establishments, the new black EPS solutions offer a novel and distinctive packaging option, allowing them to grade their food and provide it to a high standard."
The new black EPS packaging, manufactured in the UK, is available in a variety of shapes and sizes as ready-made products to accommodate various food varieties.
Educate consumers instead of endorsing rumors
There will be a wave of media questioning about EPS packaging in the coming period. Some cities are considering banning this material without understanding its true value, mainly due to some misunderstandings. Durston said, "In fact, EPS has excellent sustainability and performs well in terms of function and performance, especially for packaging hot food. The root of the problems raised by the media lies in littering, not EPS, because some consumers do not handle garbage properly. Switching from EPS to another packaging form will not reduce garbage." "Educating consumers is crucial to addressing this challenge. The entire packaging industry must make more efforts to inform consumers of the facts instead of endorsing some rumors."
