The customer requested tamper-evident packaging for single-piece baked goods, mini bombs, and desserts sold immediately.
The result was the innovative Simply Secure, featuring a clearly tamper-evident hinged packaging that looks great and exceeds all the customer's requirements for new perishable food packaging.
The Simply Secure tamper-evident packaging for desserts developed by LINDAR for the customer won the Gold Award in the Food Category of the SPE2019 Thermoforming Products Competition. The customer presented LINDAR with some clear challenges, requiring tamper-evident packaging for single-piece baked goods, mini bombs, and desserts.
The specific requirements included: a design that could be used in automated production, automatically apply labels, and keep the product in place. The result was the successful development of the innovative Simply Secure, a clearly tamper-evident hinged packaging that exceeded all the customer's requirements for this food packaging.
The Simply Secure tamper-evident seal designed by LINDAR has been applied to this new hinged packaging design to ensure that customers can safely obtain high-quality products. When the packaging is closed, it creates a freshness seal to maintain the freshness of the product until the customer consumes it.
The packaging design features a unique conical closure from the hinge to the front opening flap to display mini bombs and dessert squares and maximize space efficiency to store and/or display more mini bombs and dessert squares in a smaller space. The packaging is made of black/transparent APET material, enhancing the appearance of mini bombs and dessert square products and providing excellent freezing performance.
Each package is also designed to be labeled, with the label wrapping from the hinge area above the top of the package to the bottom to meet USDA labeling requirements while still allowing retailers to build stable displays when stacking.
Our Simply Secure tamper-proof packaging design supports automated nesting, placement, and closure of the Simply Secure lid.
The product is made of 0.015-inch (0.381mm) thick APET and uses a 10-cavity aluminum mold.
This black/transparent Simply Secure tamper-evident packaging features a conical lid, product fixation function, and label placement and stacking function, including complex design features to protect and enhance the appearance of products in cost-effective packaging.
