Plastic packaging sheet called hard or film, commonly used are: PET (polyethylene terephthalate) hard sheet, PVC (polyvinyl chloride) hard sheet, PS (polystyrene) hard sheet. PS hard sheet low density, poor toughness, easy to burn, burning blister packaging materials will produce styrene gas (a harmful gas), so it is generally used to produce a variety of industrial blister tray.

PVC hard sheet has moderate toughness and is not easy to burn. When burning, chlorine gas will be generated, which will have a certain impact on the environment. PVC is easy to heat and seal. Sealing machine and high frequency machine can be used to seal the edge. It is the main raw material for the production of transparent blister products.

Pet hard sheet has good toughness, high transparency, easy combustion, and does not produce harmful gases when burning. It is an environmentally friendly material, but it is expensive and suitable for high quality blister products. The blister shells in European and American countries generally require pet hard sheet, but it is not easy to heat seal, which brings great difficulties to packaging. In order to solve this problem, people use a material called peg glycol modified-polyethylene terephthalate, this material has both the easy heat sealing of PVC and the high environmental protection and transparency of PET, but the price is higher.
